Case Study

Objective

Partner with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to create Microsoft's first PowerApp in Teams, and focus it on various front-line worker personas for the manufacturing industry. GA early 2022.

Process

I initially partnered with one PM to create a vision demo, which was validated among manufacturing industry executives and front-line workers. I then partnered with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft PowerApps, and Microsoft Teams to create an extensible design library that could be used by internal teams at Microsoft. I created a hero happy path for two manufacturing personas — the front-line machine repairman and the back-office manufacturing manager — while building a new generalized and extensible Teams design library for front-line-worker-focused verticals (like retail and finance).
